About This Project

This delicate piece drew its inspiration from  an in depth exploration of the cause and effect of reacting to the most unobvious parts of the body such as behind the ears  groove’s of the elbows, under the chin, centre of the spine , back of the knees and so on.  Both dancers played with a random selection of a combination of these less noticed body parts in combination with the more obvious body forms such as the arms or the head. The effect became one of a gentle dialogue between the 2 dancers without any apparent visual relationship. Using the natural weight of the body and the honest listening of where each movement takes the dancers, the movement effect is one that is light and fluid, movement that cannot happen without the other dancer’s manipulation and presence. This in essence represents what a true and honest relationship in life becomes. Each moves and acts alongside and with the everlasting support of the other, rising and falling in tandem, one dependant on the other, ever present for each other.
